Environmental Impact
We care deeply about the process of creating our products and the impact they have on people and our planet.
For WAVELENGTH, sustainability isn’t an afterthought or marketing tool. We spend a lot of time researching every new type of product we design, exploring ways to make them as environmentally friendly as possible.
As a result, some of our items might cost a dollar or two more than the alternative, but we think it’s worth it.
Please check out the details below if you’d like to know more about each type of raw/blank product we buy before we finish them with our designs and sell them to you.
Product Line Details
T-Shirts
Our t-shirts come from Bella + Canvas, a U.S. company with Fair Labor Accreditation and WRAP Certification. You can check out more details about the ethical labor production and sustainable processes for water, energy, and waste reduction that drive the production of the shirts. There’s also a great little video that shows the process of creating each blank shirt before it gets to us.
Stickers
Stickers are small, but when you are creating a lot of them, the impact of their production starts to add up. Ours are 100% recyclable, reducing the amount of waste directed to landfills. The adhesive used is gentle and non-toxic, ensuring a strong hold that won't leave any residue or harm the surface it is applied to. Our stickers are printed with a premium, water-based ink, which ensures vibrant and long-lasting colors without harsh chemicals.

Coasters
Our coasters are make of 100% natural cork, a highly sustainable material that is renewable, biodegradable, and doesn't harm the tree when harvested. Cork oak trees can regenerate their bark, allowing for regular harvesting without killing the tree. Sort of makes you want to buy everything made of cork, doesn’t it?

Tote Bags
Our tote bags come from Econscious, another U.S. company with SEDEX SMETA audited factories across the globe. The bags are made with 100% Organic Cotton fiber, and a portion of each sale (i.e., each blank bag we buy from them to screen print our designs onto) is donated to environmental non-profit organizations; that’s in addition to the donation we make for each finished bag we sell to you.

Sunglasses
Our sunglasses are crafted from renewable wheat straw fiber and something called rABS (made by melting down post consumer plastic), proving once and for all that you can be stylish and and eco-friendly at the same time! Recycled ABS plastic (rABS) is known for its strength and durability, so you don't have to worry about the wheat straw fiber in the glasses falling apart or blowing away like a house made by one of the Three Little Pigs.
